Voices Across Borders
Stories Beyond Time
New York–based production company working between Off-Broadway and Off-Off-Broadway. Founded by Roman Freud and Eduard Tolokonnikov, FiveEvening Theater develops a repertoire of bold, actor-driven work rooted in European theatrical tradition and shaped by contemporary precision.
We create theater that is intimate, rigorous, and emotionally exacting—work that resists superficiality and demands presence from both artist and audience. Our productions are built on language, performance, and the belief that theater remains one of the most immediate forms of human exchange.
Five Evenings Theater creates rigorous, actor-driven productions that unite European theatrical tradition with contemporary American practice. We are committed to developing text-centered work that is intellectually precise, emotionally immediate, and grounded in the power of live performance.
Through a sustainable repertoire model, we aim to build a body of work that challenges artists, engages audiences, and affirms theater as an essential human exchange.
We believe theater must remain urgent, human, and uncompromising.
